Nwifuru Is Implementing Charter Of Needs Mantra For People’s Benefit -Aide

The Special Assistant to Ebonyi Governor on Student Affairs, Comrade Joshua Nwafor has said that the Governor is presently addressing the diverse needs of Ebonyi people through his Charter of Needs manifesto.

Nwafor made the declaration in Abakaliki, during a symposium to mark this year’s International Students Day with the theme: Nurturing Ebonyi Students welfare through the People’s Charter of Needs.

The SA said that the governor’s agenda was geared towards developing the state and leaving a lasting legacy worthy of emulation.

“The charter of needs mantra is not a mere document but a pact which symbolises the government’s commitment towards addressing the diverse needs of the citizens, students inclusive.

“The mantra serves as blueprint for creating an educational ecosystem which nurtures academic excellence, personal development, and overall student and citizens’ welfare”,

He urged students to actively engage with the charter’s provisions by providing feedback and actively participating in the initiatives outlines .

“Students are leaders of today and tomorrow as I enjoin them to make positive impacts on the society through their diversities.

“Innovation and creativity thrive in environments where people from different cultures meet, exchange ideas and learn from one another”.

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Internally Generated Revenue, Martin Okwuegbu urged students to avail themselves of all university processes to be useful to themselves, their parents and the society.

Okwuegbu advised them to take their studies seriously while lamenting increase in social vices such as cultism in the society, especially in schools.

*Cultism and indecent dressing now pervade in different names with people in the name of content creation, do
several things to attract fan bases.

“From the last dispensation to this current one, there is something new as far as students unionism is concerned.

“This year’s own is different because we are here to nurture Ebonyi students through the People’s Charter of Needs”.

He noted that stdents have always been the full beneficiaries of the policies and programmes of the present administration in the state.

In his remarks, a popular Architect in the state, Asaga Nwali, urged the students to support the present administration to fulfill all its obligations towards them and education in general, in the state.

The students used the occasion to air their views on matters concerning their academic pursuits and welfare of the citizens in general.
