Candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi has cautioned his teeming supporters across the country to show respect and love to other presidential candidates.
In a tweet he sent to all his admirers, Obi said “I am a Nigerian running to serve every Nigerian. I urge a show of respect for every candidate, tribe, religion, and person”.
The former Anambra State governor who is vying to redirect Nigeria to the part of growth and progress condemned his supporters who, in a frenzy, attack other presidential candidates, noting that that was not why he is in the race.
He said that such attacks negate his principles and urged them to unite and help him to rebuild the country that has been turn asunder through lackluster leadership, insecurity, poor economic management, comatose education system, dead electricity generation and heavy importation that has grounded manufacturing companies and created unbearable unemployment among our youths in the country.
