The AnyiChuks Campaign Organisation has advised a claimant to the ticket of PDP governorship candidate in Ebonyi state, Senator Obinna Ogba, to congratulate Dr Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii who has been recognized by INEC and PDP as the party’s flagbearer instead of making spurious claims that bother on perfidy.
In a press release by Chief Abia Onyike, head of AnyiChuks Media Directorate, the campaign organisation berated Senator Ogba on his recent comment that “No man born of a woman will take away the ticket from me”, adding that such comment was “nothing short of political extremism”.
He advised the senator to toe the path of peace instead of whipping up sentiments and engaging in political grandstanding that undermine party unity and cohesion. He said that before the law and the people of Ebonyi state, the candidate of PDP for the 2023 general election in Ebonyi state is Dr Chukwuma Odii and no other person, adding that Ogba should be grateful and thankful to God for being one of the greatest beneficiaries in the party, having occupied various positions in the party in the state.
Chief Onyike called on Senator Ogba to eschew bitterness and join Odii to rescue the state from the poor leadership of the APC. He said that now was time for PDP to come together and face the reality of Odii’s emergence now that INEC has concluded the compilation and release of authentic candidates in the various political parties across the country. He said that Ogba was playing to the gallery by claiming to be the rightful candidate and one of the oldest party members, adding that Dr Chukwuma Odii has paid his due since he joined the party during the time of Chief Martin Elechi as the governor of Ebonyi state.
