University of Lagos Appoints First Female Vice Chancellor, Assumes Duty in November

The Council of the University of Lagos,(UNILAG) has appointed the 13th Vice Chancellor in the person of Professor Sade Ogunsola.

The tenure of the current Vice Chancellor, Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe will expire on Nov 11, 2022.

The New Vice Chancellor, Prof Sade Ogunsola, will assume position formally in November.

Ogunsola, before her emergence, was Provost of the College of Medicine, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Development and Services) two tenure.

Adamu Adamu, Minister of Education

The 64 year Old Professor is an alumnus of the prestigious University of Lagos.

She also acted as the Vice Chancellor during the crises period between the Dr Wale Babalakin Council and the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Prof Oluwatoyin Ogundipe.
