The popular Catholic priest hails from the community which produced the late prolific writer, Cyprian Ekwensi.
The wedding reception was organised in honour of the son of a well-known community leader in the area and former President-General of Nkwelle-Ezunaka, Ogbuefi Willie Okafor whose son,Chukwuebuka Okafor was getting married to his heartthrob, Emmanuella Okafor.
The wedding which attracted dignitaries from within and outside the community witnessed the home coming of  a Catholic cleric,Fr.Ebube MuoNso who joined his “ummunna”(Kinsmen) in the wedding reception.
Fr.Obimma who enjoyed the brief stay with his Kinsmen was seen saluting all as he moved from canopy to canopy expressing felicitation with the people before moving forward to the podium where the young groom and his bride were displaying their dance steps.
The popular priest later walked into  one of the canopies that accommodated  members of “Ogbuefi Traditional”. Though ,Fr.Obimma felt at home during his brief stay with his kinsmen,he hurriedly left the venue as he hopped into his waiting SUV vehicle when some youths from the area attempted to mob him for possible alms .
In an interview at the occasion, father of the groom and Village  Head of Ezi-Nkwelle, Chief Willie Okafor said that he was delighted to see his son  marry in his life time and promised to continue to give fatherly advice to the new couple when necessary.
While urging the new couple to be tolerant to each other, Managing Director, Alanka Suites, Nkwelle-Ezunaka, Chief Onyeka Ikem said he decided to attend the event as the father of the groom was a good man and lover of his community, Nkwelle-Ezunaka even as the President-General, adding that the community was willing to call him back to serve them again by December.
A legal practitioner and friend of Ogbuefi Okafor,Barr.Mellitus Eze noted that the large crowd at the venue was in response to Willie Okafor’s kindness and sense of dignity as a community leader and wished the new couple well in their marriage.
