The proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) says the abduction of HRH Eze Leo Nwokocha, the Traditional Ruler of Umunneato Autononous Community in Mbaise was masterminded by the State Governor Hope Uzodinma.
In a statement, the Spokesperson of the group, Emma Powerful alleged that Uzodimma carried out the operation through those he described as terrorist contractors like Chinasa Nwaneri, Ebubeagu outfit, and other compromised security agents in the state.
The statement:
“IPOB was reliably informed that the Traditional Ruler was abducted since 28th December 2022 on the orders of Hope Uzodinma.
“The public should recall that recently, they paraded a fake ESN commander called Onye army who was used to blackmail and implicate this same Traditional Ruler as a sponsor of ESN.
“This was a case of “giving a dog a bad name to kill it.”
“We are warning Hope Uzodinma to release the innocent Traditional Ruler whom he framed in order to abduct him.
Hope Uzodinma is being used by enemies of Ndigbo to desecrate our Traditional Institutions in Alaigbo, particularly in Imo State.
‘Ndi Eze are being harassed, humiliated, and used as ushers anytime Hope wants to receive his Fulani Masters in Imo State.
“Hope Uzodinma is grooming criminals to terrorise people into submission to do his wishes of RUGA and other agenda items from the Federal Government of Nigeria for the extermination of the Igbo race. But he won’t succeed.
“We are delighted that everybody now knows his games and antics towards the people of Imo State.
“IPOB is watching this Hope Uzodinma, as he dances naked in the market square. He will eventually pay for all the blood of the innocent people he has killed.
“Hope is power-drunk, but he forgets that power is transient. We have constantly warned Hope Uzodinma to stop killing innocent people. He can’t use intimidation and terror to make people accept his government’s evil agenda that he brought in through the back door.
“Hope Uzodinma’s associates, Eze Ochiri Okeke of Umudara Amaifeke, an evil King, has not been abducted because he is supporting all the evils that the government of Hope Uzodinma is doing, and he is among the sponsors of Ebubeagu militia collaborating with compromised Nigeria Security Agents in abducting and killing his own people.
“HRH Eze Leo Nwokocha of Eziala Nguru Umunneato Autononous Community in Aboh Mbaise has no link with IPOB and has never been an IPOB or ESN sponsor. No single individual has the capacity to sponsor IPOB or ESN. The movement sponsors itself by numerous members all over the world”.
