House of Representatives Election: Amasiri Congratulates Igariwey On His Re-election

The people of Amasiri have congratulated victory Barr Iduma Igariwey on his re-election to represent Afikpo North and South Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives.

Igariwey was declared winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission after sxoring the highest number of valid votes in the February 25th Elections,

In a statement, Amasiri, through Amasiri Concerned Indigenes, an umbrella body of Sons and Daughters of the community at Home and in the Diaspora described Igariwey’s victory as “well deserved
and unprecedented”.

The organisation observed that the re-election of Igariwey was a confirmation of his political relevance and acceptability which saw him gathering votes in the polling units of his closest rivals.

“This is a feat that takes only the very best to achieve. Let it be on record that Amasiri promised and we delivered 100%. We rejoice with you”, the statement echoed.

The community did not forget the dividend of democracy it benefitted from Igariwey’s last tenure.

“Amasiri Concerned Indigenes appreciates Hon Igariwey for all the dividend of Democracy attracted to Amasiri, and the Constituency. We wish Rt Hon Igariwey well in his next dispensation at the National Assembly.

“Talking about a career in politics, yours has been sustained by your hard work and antecedents. Hearty cheers, the reward for good work is more work.

“There is a lot Amasiri has to offer and we will do so effortlessly. God Bless the Good People of Ekuma Ubaghala”, the statement pledged.

The statement was signed by representatives from each of the five village groups that make up Amasiri.

They are Prof Obasi Otuu Oko for Ezeke, Hon Nathaniel Idam Elekwa for Ihie, Vincent Oko Obinna dor Poperi, Engr. Ibiam Iho for Ndukwe and Osuu Otu Chukwu-Etu for Ohaechara
