The Ebonyi state Commissioner for Youth Development and Sports, Charles Akpu – Enika has urged youths in the state to vote massively for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Gubernatorial Candidate, Francis Nwifuru during the March 18 gubernatorial election.

Speaking with newsmen in Abakaliki, Akpu – Enika also urged the youths to vote Maxwell Umahi for Abakaliki North constituency seat and Chinyere Nwogbaga for Ebonyi north east constituency seat into the state house of assembly respectively.

The commissioner said that voting for Nwifuru would ensure continuity of the good works of Governor David Umahi in office.

“March 18 is a determinant in the lives of youths and the generality of Ebonyi people as the state is set to elect one of its finest youths as governor.

“Nwifuru is a peace maker and a great mobilizer of men and resources who ensured a most peaceful house of assembly for eight years.

“He supported governor Umahi in ensuring that the state was magically revolutionalized in all spheres.

“This is a call on youths to come our massively on March 18 and ensure that their future are secured in the hands of competent leadership.

“Nwifuru will also build on the sports legacies of the incumbent governor who has recorded many sporting feats such as reconstruction of the PA Ngele Oruta stadium, the construction of the new Olympic stadium among others,”.

He commended former Senate President, Pius Anyim who despite being in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has supported power shift to the north senatorial zone and for Nwifuru in particular.

“This is a welcome development because it is always good for leaders to stand by the truth and not influenced by selfishness.

“Anyim is a statesman whom all of us respect and he has stood for equity and justice as a father,”.

Akpu Enika also urged the people to vote for Maxwell Umahi to represent the people of Abakaliki North constituency at the house of assembly because he is youthful and has enhanced the lives of youths in the state.

“Maxwell is a household name in the constituency and we all should support him on March 18,”

He noted that the urban community in the state will vote massively for Nwifuru and Maxwell Umahi because its people have benefitted tremendously from the Izzi people.

“This is the time to repay the Izzi people who are our landlords as they have been accommodating to those who reside in their land.
