The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ebonyi State Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha, has urged Christians to amend their ways and live right with God.

Chief Emegha gave the advice in a message to mark this year’s Easter celebration.

Rean on:

“The 2023 Easter celebration comes at a time when the people are basking in the euphoria of their resounding victory at the polls. For this reason, this year’s commemoration further reminds us, the supremacy of God in everything as he also gave His begotten son, Jesus Christ victory over death through His resurrection after crucifixion.

“Since Easter narrates the the stories surrounding the sufferings of Christ to save man from sin and eternal condemnation, I therefore urge Christians to seize this opportunity offered by the solemn festival to refrain from their immoral ways. The people should endeavour to imbibe the virtues of humility, discipline, perseverance and selflessness as exemplified on the cross by Christ.

“I also wish to remind the adherents of the Christian faith and others alike to amend their ways by building more intimacy with Christ as well as increasing their love for humanity rather than hate and disdain.

“Again, let me remind the people that even as they commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ they should strive to be more vigilant and promptly report any suspicious character lurking around their environment.

“Let me assure the general public that there is adequate security arrangements to forestall any breach of law and order in and around the state. Security agencies in the state are working hand in glove to ensure that the celebration is hitch free.

“Happy Easter Celebration to all of us.”

Signed

Hon Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha
APC Chairman and Special Security Consultant (SSC), Ebonyi State.
