Unknown gunmen have killed Jacob Agada, a retired immigration officer in Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Sources say the tragic incident occurred Thursday night at Ombi 2, Lafia.
According to the source, Agada was returning to his house about 9pm when the hoodlums abducted him and his lifeless body was later discovered in the area.
He expressed sadness over the incident, saying Agada was jumped and taken away by the hoodlums who were hiding not far from his gate.
The retired officer lived just beside a popular hotel in the area, he explained.
Alleging a spike in the spate of insecurity in the Ombi II, Danka, and Kwandare axis of the state recently, the source called for prayers to end the challenge.
The Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the incident.
