EBONYI AIRPORT  WILL BOOST SOCIO-ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES  – BUHARI

The President, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (rted) has said the Muhammadu Buhari International Airport Onueke, in the Ezza South Local Government Area of the state will boost the socio-economic activities of the state.
Buhari stated this while  commissioning the airport at Onueke, Ebonyi State, on Friday. According to him, the quality of the project and  time of delivery further showcased the ingenuity of the Ebonyi State Government and her people.
He said, “I’m delighted for this honour by yet another invitation by the Ebonyi State Government. It’s an a thing of joy that I have been asked to commission some of the projects completed by the state government under Governor David Umahi. “In the last eight years of our administration, I have worked closely with the Ebonyi State Government. And I’m satisfied the state has grown in bounds in infrastructure and in human capital development.
“I thank the Government and people of Ebonyi State for the love reposed in me right from the beginning of our administration. I was in Ebonyi State in 2017 to commission some projects. I was here also in 2022. Today again, I’m commissioning some completed projects in the state, which include the International Airport and the Presidential Lounge named after me.
“The international airport will boost the economy of Ebonyi State and its people. The quality of the airport and time of delivery shows the ingenuity of the people of the state government. “Speaking earlier, Governor Umahi thanked the President, adding his love and pursuit for the unity of Nigeria was commendable.
He said, “I thank Mr President for the love he has for Ebonyi State and the people of the state. There’s no single letter I wrote to you sir concerning these projects, that you did not approve. Thank you so much. “Even when I was in PDP, Ebonyi State was the first state you visited and spent the night. TbhThis is a mark of your love for us, it’s a sign of your integrity and pursuit of unity of the entire country. We really appreciate you, sir.”
