The Turn by Turn Initiative, a socio-political group, has endorsed the bid of the member representing Ikwo/ Ezza South Federal Constituency, Chinedu Ogah, to become the Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives in the 10th National Assembly.

The National convener of the group, Comrade Ben Nworie announced this during a chat with newsmen in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital.

He urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) national leadership to zone the position to the south east region.

“The south east deserves to be given the positions of principal offices in the 10th national assembly for equity, justice and fair play.

“The position of the deputy speaker should not only be zoned to the region, Ogah who was re-elected for a second term should be considered for the position”.

Nworie said that the group has reviewed the political permutations in the country especially the sharing formula of the principal offices in the 10th National Assembly”.

“Ogah’s candidacy should be considered and he should be elected to avoid exclusion of the zone from the political permutations”.

“Ogah has an astute political past shown in enough capacity to win election for the APC even when Ebonyi State was ruled by the PDP”.

“He has remained one of the hopes and voices of APC in the south east and if given the opportunity to serve as the Deputy Speaker, will improve the fortunes of APC beyond the south east”.

He noted that Ogah believes in the nation’s unity, never segregates and loves all Nigerians irrespective of tribe, religion and political divide.

“We call on members-elect of the green chamber and other APC stakeholders to galvanize support in ensuring that Ogah emerges the House next deputy speaker”.
