U-20 World Cup: Nigerian Football Authorities Unveil Flying Eagles Squad

Ahead of the 2022 FIFA Under – 20 World Cup to be hosted by Argentina, the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, released the list of team members from Nigeria.

The Football House published the list on its official Twitter handle on Monday.

The list shows that Head coach, Ladan Bosso retained most of the players at the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations in Egypt.

New comers to the team are AC Milan defensive midfielder, Victor Eletu, defender Israel Domingo, Lawal Salem Fago, Kehinde Ibrahim and Emmanuel Umeh.

The Flying Eagles arrived Buenos Aires for a 10-day training programme on Sunday.

The West Africans are drawn in Group B with Dominican Republic, Italy and Brazil for the World Cup.

Bosso’s charges will start their campaign against Dominican Republic in Mendoza on May 21.

The Flying Eagles will also face Italy in Mendoza three days later.

They will travel to La Plata for their final group game against four-time winners Brazil.

THE FULL SQUAD

Goalkeepers : Chijeke Aniagboso, Nathaniel Nwosu, Saheed Jimoh

Defenders: Daniel Bameyi, Benjamin Frederick, Israel Domingo, Abel Ogwuche, Augustine Njoku, Solomon Abalaka

Midfielders: Daniel Daga, Samson Lawal, Victor Eletu, Ibrahim Abdullahi, John Joshua, Tochuckwu Nnadi

Forwards: Haliyu Sarki, Jude Sunday, Ibrahim Mohammed, Lawal Salem Fago, Kehinde Ibrahim, Emmanuel Umeh.
