Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has said his administration will engage professionals in the course of governing Ebonyi State.
Governor Nwifuru stated this during a post-inauguration Thanksgiving held at Saint Emmanuel Catholic Parish, Edukwachi,in the Izzi Local Government Area of the state, on Sunday. He called on stakeholders of the state to be patient with his administration in its drive to transform the state, assuring he would get it right at the fullness of time.
He said, “I want to assure you that though it is not possible for us to accommodate everybody but a good number of our faithful members will be accommodated in our administration. “Experience is the teacher, our Government Will do justice to all the things that concern the welfare of people of the State.
“We are getting into a very deep ocean now, politics is difficult, everybody now wants to be the friend of the Governor and former Governor. We will get professionals to do the professional work and politicians to do political works.”
He pledged to unite all segments of the State across party lines before the end of his administration. “I have to say this, you see this kindred thing, it has never worked for you and  I. And  since it never worked for you, don’t ever believe in it.”
He commended the Emeritus Bishop of Catholic Diocese of Abakaliki , Most Rev. Father Nnachi Okorie for his contribution to the spiritual growth of people of the State.
“Generally I am so delighted, I am so grateful to all Ebonyi people that believed in our course, I want to promise that governance is different from politics, we will do everything possible to make you proud.”
Governor  Nwifuru explained that his decision to build a church was a fulfilment of the promise he made to God, while appreciating his parents and immediate family for their support especially during turbulent periods.
