Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) has inaugurated a Committee for Lagos Street Soccer Championship with Bolaji Yusuf as Chairman.

Yusuf’s appointment was announced by FA Chairman, Fouad Oki, at the inauguration of a Management Committee for Lagos Iconic Football Competitions at Teslim Balogun Stadium.

The FA, under the leadership of the new chairman, has re-activated critical football components to re-define football in Lagos State.

These includes Oba cup, Principal cup, IBILE cup, Lagos Street Soccer, and Lagos Junior League.

The committee for the Lagos Street Soccer Championship has Olatunji Folami as Vice Chairman and Deji Aladegbemi, Secretary, while other members are Samiat Bada, Ladi Balogun, Abiola Yisa, Coach Taiwo Oloyede, Phemmy Adetula and Yomi Kuku.

Also on the committee are Ayeni Saheed, Joash Manuwa, Amoo Yusuf, Musbau Oseni, Tunji Ekemode, Toyin Oginni and Zakaria Abdullahi.

In his reaction Bolaji Yusuf, fondly called “BJ”, said that the appointment offered an opportunity to serve the state.

“I want to thank our amiable Chairman Fouad Oki for finding me worthy to serve as the Chairman of the Lagos Street Soccer committee.

“I understand the enormity of this task and, most importantly, the need to engage youths through sports at this critical point in our national development.

“Street Soccer is a unique game with techniques and dimensions and I will work diligently with my committee members to ensure we get the task done,” he said.
