History has been made in Anambra State as Beach Soccer Board has successfully been inaugurated in the State.
The Board is led by Prof Victor Madubuko as Chairman.
Inuagurating the Board at Nnewi, a seasoned Beach Soccer instructor, Dr Sunday Okai charged members to put passion first in discharging their duties.
He noted that this was important for the success of the game .
In a remark, Mr Victor Kadiri, a representative of Nigeria Beach Soccer League, assured the Board of adequate support from the national body,and expressed the hope that this will fast track the development of Beach soccer in Anambra State and Nigeria in general.
In his acceptance speech, the chairman, Prof Victor Madubuko, he said: “I believe that I have the best available hands as board members. With them, we can achieve great things. Or aim is to bring Beach Soccer development in Anambra State especially in schools and female categories. We promise not to disappoint as we are ready to deliver.”
Members of the board include Hon. Chukwudi Orizu – vice Chairman, Hon. Emmanuel Nsoedo – Secretary and Kingsley Nwagba – Coach/ Technical Director.
Others are Okwudili A. Emmanuel – Media Officer, Prisca Ogugua – Welfare Officer and Chukwuka Fidelis – Assistant Coach.
As part of the inauguration, Dr Sunday Okai held an extensive seminar on beach soccer for players, coaches and referees, during which he drilled them on the basics of beach soccer and benefits of playing the sport.
