CONTINUE THE SPORTS POLICY OF DARE – ASDC BOSS ADVICES NEW SPORTS MINISTER

The Chairman Anambra State Sports Development Commission (ASDC), Patrick-Estate
Onyedum has urged the New minister of Sports Development, Senator John Ewan- Enoh to continue the sports industry policy of the immediate past minister, Sunday Dare to enhance the economic empowerment potentials of the sector and make it the leading youth development sector in Nigeria.

Onyedum stated this in Awka while congratulating Sen. John Ewan-Enoh on his swearing in as the new Minister of Sports Development.

Onyedum, an athlete turned administrator advised Ewan-Enoh to pay special attention to grassroots sports development and not pursue immediate glory which often led to respiration.

He pledged the preparedness of his Commission to partner the ministry and promised to enable him succeed in interest of teeming Nigerian youths.

“On behalf of the governor of Anambra state, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, I want to congratulate the newly sworn in ministers and in a specially way, Sen. John Ewan-Enoh, the new minister of sports.

“I believe in his capacity to impact positively on Nigeria’s sports sector, and I want to assure him that as a State, Anambra is ready to work with him.

“I encourage him to grow the sports by continuing the policy of his predecessor which seeks to run the sector as an industry. He should also give priority to grassroots sports development, ” he said.

Onyedum said the minister should hit the ground running by ensuring that the National Youth Games billed for Asaba, Delta State turned out the best in the history of the competition.
