From Our Lagos Correspondent

Seyi Tinubu, the only surviving son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was spotted riding in a 2023 Range Rover as his convey of a fleet of SUVs graced an event. Seyi an entrepreneur, he is the CEO of Loatsad Promomedia, a digital outdoor advertising company based in Lagos, Nigeria. He is also the founder of the Noella Foundation, a non-profit organization that supports education, healthcare, and poverty alleviation initiatives in Nigeria.

He had in his convey to the event, three Toyota Landcruiser Prado covering his security detail, while he rode on the 2023 Range Rover Autobiography valued at N250 million. This brand is the latest SUV model of the Land Rover brand Autobiography package. Although the 2023 model shares similarities with the 2022 model, this particular model has a few new tweaks that have been added to it, a twin-turbo 4.4-litre V8 engine that goes through an eight-speed automatic transmission. The fuel economy is 16 in the city and 21 on the highway, which releases 523 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque.

Observers are beginning to feel unease over the seemingly loud lifestyle of the self-styled First Son of the Federal Republic. The other day, the same Seyi caused untold hardship for motorists and other road users in Abuja, when he took to skirting on a major  Highway in prime business time, with his hoard of security details made up eight armed Police and DSS operatives. If things were not as severely choking on the masses as it is now, perhaps, people may have overlooked Seyi and his ostentatious lifestyle as just one fat cat let loose. But it smacks of absolute disconnect with the reality of the present mood of the nation for the son of the very President believed to responsible for the pervading woes and hardship in the country, to be living large while majority of his down trodden compatriots wallow in abject poverty.
