ISPON In Collaboration With Head of Service Of The Federation To Organise Second Stakeholders Conference On Health And Safety Standards

The Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria in collaboration with the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation is finetuning plans to hold the second stakeholders meeting in Lagos.

The President of ISPON, Mr Kaizer Ebi, stated in an interview that the two day conference is geared towards the regulation of health and safety standards in Nigeria.

“A lot is lacking in our national work life in terms of plans on ground to safeguard people at work”, Ebi noted.

He stated, “At this event, which is in collaboration with the office of the Head of Service of the Federation, trans- industry committees would be set up to create standards for the regulation of health and safety in Nigeria”.

On his part, the Chairman, Planning Committee, Dr Fyneray Mbata, explained that Ministries, Department and Agencies, have been invited to attend the two day conference at the Lagos Chamber of Commerce Secretariat , Alausa, Ikeja in Lagos from 18th to 19th of this month.

Similarly, captains of Industry, well meaning private sector players, professional bodies, and the public are expected to participate in the conference, which is free.

The first Stakeholders Conference in Abuja, according to the Chairman Planning Committee, recorded a huge success and awards Presentations to prominent Nigerians who had contributed to ensuring health and safety standards in Nigeria.
