GOVERNOR SOLUDO LOSES FATHER, CONDOLED BY ASDC CHAIRMAN, ONYEDUM

The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR has lost his father, lPa Simeon Nwankwo Soludo, (Ichie Akukananwa 1).

He died in the early hours of Monday 6, November, 2023 at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Teaching Hospital, Awka.

According to a statement by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Chris Abarume, Governor Soludo noted that his late father lived a fulfilled life and died at the ripe age of ninety-two.

“Born on 11th November, 1931, Pa Soludo is Survived by 7 sons, 8 daughters-in-law, 22 grand-children and six great-grand children.

“The elderly Solduo was a pillar of strength, a caring father, a responsible community leader, and a peace-loving man who touched the lives of many in his lifetime.

“His legacy extends beyond the confines of his immediate family, as he was also the oldest member of the Boys Scout Movement in Nigeria at the time of his passing.

“His commitment to nurturing the values of discipline, leadership, and community service served as an inspiration to countless individuals, both young and old.

“His love, wisdom, and guidance will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

“The Anambra State Government, along with the Soludo family, expresses its gratitude for the outpouring of support and condolences during this difficult time.”

In a condolence message,
Patrick-Estate Onyedum, Chairman of Anambra State Sports Development Commission said he was saddened with the news of passage of the patriarch of Soludo family even though he exited the State at a ripe age.

He urged the Governor and other members of the family to take solace in the fact that their father lived a fulfilled life.

“I am deeply saddened by the loss of your father, he was a kind man who always put others first.

“On behalf of my family, staff and management of Anambra State Sports Development Commission, I sympathize with you on this great loss.”

He prayed God to accept his soul in his bossom and to grant him eternal rest.
