MRS SOLUDO ENJOINS CHRISTIANS TO SHOW LOVE DURING THE YELUTIDE

The Wife of Anambra State Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo has enjoined christians and wealthy individuals to use the period of Christmas to show love to people around them.

Mrs. Soludo made the call when she visited some Motherless babies homes in Onitsha.

According to her, people should use the Yuletide season to express love , extend compassion and gifts to others to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

Mrs Soludo also encouraged social welfare workers to put in their best while looking after the children having in mind that God will reward them abundantly.

She pledged that the present administration in the State would continue to do its best in meeting the needs of the people and ensuring that children homes practice in line with best standards.

One of the Coordinators of the homes visited, Lady Rita Aniekwe, thanked the wife of the governor for her kind gesture describing it as an unprecedented move that can be exhibited by a passionate woman.

She called on other care givers and social welfare staff to make sure that their environments are clean and homely for the children under them.

Another Coordinator of one of the homes, Mrs Pepertual Okonkwo thanked God for blessing Anambra State with such first lady with a milk of passion for doing good to the down troden especially in such a critical economic realities in the country.

The Children in all the homes visited took their turns to pray for the Governor’s wife and Governor Chukwuma Soludo even as they rejoiced for the kind gestures.

Bags of rice, beans, cartons of noddles, biscuits and beverages were among the items donated to the homes by the first lady.
