Nweze, Tinubu’s Aide, Aviation Commissioner Drum Support For  Nwifuru

The Senior Special Assistant, SSA, to the President on Community Engagement, South East Region, Mrs Chioma Nweze and the Commissioner for Aviation and Transport Technology, Mrs. Ngozi Obichukwu have called on all lovers of democracy to band with the governor, Francis Nwifuru, to entrench good governance and development in Ebonyi state.

Nweze and Obichukwu who made the call in separate statements made available to newsmen in Abakaliki, in which they commended the Supreme Court for affirming the victory of  Nwifuru in the March 18 general election last year.

In her statement,  Nweze urged the governor Nwifuru to be magnanimous in victory and make concrete moves towards running an inclusive  administration.

According to her: “This sweeping verdict by the apex court not only validates the popular mandate given to you by the good people of Ebonyi State through your resounding victory at the polls, it also lays to rest the tussle over the governorship of Ebonyi State and removes all legal obstacles to fully delivering the dividend of democracy to the good people of the state.

“While we commend our justice system for the transparent and impartial audit of the election, we call on all lovers of democracy in Ebonyi State to band together for continuation of good governance and development and advancement of democracy.”

In her reaction, the Commissioner for Aviation and Transport Technology, Obichukwu, said the governor’s victory at the Supreme Court, had paved way for Ebonyians to experience unprecedented economic growth/ development.

“The resounding triumph of governor Francis Nwifuru at the Supreme Court of Nigeria has validated the overwhelming votes given to him by the majority of Ebonyians in the last March 18 governorship polls in the state.”

Obichukwu further noted that the Supreme Court judgement had put off all distraction on the governor, and will henceforth, be spurred to give greater attention towards the completion of all ongoing projects, including the Chuba Okadigbo’s International Airport runway.

“Ebonyi State under governor Francis Nwifuru has soared in aviation and transport technology, healthcare delivery services especially in the general hospitals, education, security and rural development, and with this final victory, all project execution will naturally speed up” she said.

The Commissioner also urged Nwifuru’s opponents to accept the Supreme Court judgement, and join hands with the governor to develop the state to the envy of other states in the South East region.
