WHAT IMMIGRATION BOSS  AND ROAD SAFETY COMMANDER IN ANAMBRA TOLD EACH OTHER

The newly appointed Comptroller of Immigration Anambra State, DR. G.O. NWOKE has pledged to work in synergy with Federal Road Safety Corps in saving lives and properties on the road.

She stated this when she
paid a courtesy visit to the Sector Commander FRSC, Anambra state,  Adeoye A Irelewuyi in Awka Wednesday.

Nwoke noted that her visit to FRSC Command was part of familiarization visit to other Federal government agencies in Anambra State having been posted newly to the State and to explore areas of cooperation with them.

The Immigration boss explained that apart from issuing International Passport, the Department also mans the borders to avoid illegal immigrants from entering Nigeria.

They also check and monitor immigrants to ensure that they do not violet the immigration rules as it relates to engaging in employment as those on visiting visa  are not permitted to engage in paid employments.

She called fro cooperation in fishing out all manner of illegal activities of immigrants and report to her office.

The Sector Commander, Adeoye A Irelewuyi, pledged to maintain the synergy with the Immigration Service in Anambra State.

He informed the CIS that the Command had been  enjoying a good working relationship with the Immigration Department over the years in Anambra State.

Irelewuyi informed the Immigration boss about ongoing enforcement of number plate and Drivers license, noting that the Sector’s  mobile court would commence sitting in February.

He emphasized the importance of proper registration of vehicles to avert incident of stolen vehicles.

Highlights of the visit was quarter guard and presentation of Plague by the Sector Commander and presentation of books written by the Comptroller to the Sector Commander.
