Nigeria has booked a place for one of the quarrer final matches at the ongoing AFCON tournament in Cote D’Ivoire by beating the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon 2-0 in the tournament’s round of 16 clash Saturday night.
Ademola Lookman scored twice in each half to hand Nigeria a famous win over the Cameroonians.
Victor Osimhen broke free and laid off a pass to Lookman, whose weak finishing surprisingly trickle pass the line.
With time running out, Lookman touched home Calvin Bassey’s cross.
Jose Peseiro’s men will now face Angola in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Earlier in the day, Angola thrashed Namibia 3-0 in their last-16 clash.
