NSCDC ANAMBRA STATE COMMAND EMBARK ON CONFIDENCE BUILDING PATROL

In an effort to avert any breakdown of law and order, and encourage citizens to go about their lawful businesses without any form of fear, the State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command, Olatunde Maku in line with the statutory functions of NSCDC to protect critical national assets and infrastructure across the federation, has deployed personnel of the command to all the banking facilities in and around Awka metropolis.

He said NSCDC working with other security agencies shall remain undaunted in ensuring the security and safety of Anambra residents.

“Protection of lives and property is topmost on the agenda of the State Government , hence the deployment of personnel around all critical assets today to build the confidence of the public that Mondays Sit at home has faded away. People can go about their normal businesses, we have deployed enough manpower to avert any attack on lawful citizens” he said.

Maku who led the confidence building patrol within Awka metropolis, visited some strategic areas, routes and banks along Regina Ceili Junction, Aroma Junction, Ziks Avenue and Ukwu Oji axis where he interfaced with members of the public and urged them to cooperate with NSCDC and other security agencies in their efforts to suppress the antics and criminal acts of underworld personalities.

He encouraged the public to avail useful information that will aid the security agencies to effectively maintain the serenity and ensure the protection of lives and property in the state.

According to SC Edwin Okadigbo, the PRO of the Command, The State Commandant was accompanied by DCP Alada Yakubu, the Deputy Commandant in- charge of Operations, DCC Kazzah Joseph, HOD Critical National Assets and Infrastructure Protection Department, Assistant Commandant Onyebuchi Onwuteaka, AC Ops Zone K , Awka among others.
